I love it when the garden wakes up from its winter slumber, and it was still only April when I took these photographs!

I have been working in my greenhouse, it certainly was green after the winter. I have had to power wash the floor and wash the glass, its not perfect, but it is a whole lot better than it was. I also planted a few tomato plants, I have to buy 6 more though (I couldn't get the ones that I love). Anyway a good days work me thinks ♥

I celebrated my big 60 Birthday towards the end of April.
I wasn't going to celebrate but my son Dion and his fiancee Faith insisted that I did, so we invited a few family members and close friends and had ourselves a party. It was such a laugh and we had the best time, and instead of preparing food, we had an Indian takeaway delivered which
I must say went down very well!

On the bank holiday Monday 7th May Gary and I went out for the day.
We stopped off at a garden center in Devon, and then parked in the Tamar Bridge car Park, and walked across the footbridge to take a few shots. What a glorious day!
Picture
I even managed to get a photograph of a train on the bridge.

After our lovely walk, we went to The Ploughboy Inn at Saltash
for a fabulous Carvery. Gary and I really do feel privileged to have such stunning countryside and views in spitting distance from where we live.
We live 8.4 miles from the sea which takes 18 min's to get there.

Looe is a small coastal town and fishing port in south-east Cornwall about 8 miles from where I live.

My trip to hospital
It is easier for me to update friends this way, so for those who are not aware I suffer with heart disease, and following a heart attack in 2005 I had a heart operation. Unfortunately I have not been feeling very well recently and ended up going to hospital by ambulance on the 7th May.
I have been told that I have had another heart attack.
I am home again now, on complete rest, but I will have to go back into  hospital to see a cardiologist for more tests and to see if I need another heart operation.
I was really upset because I had planned on going to my Granddaughters Christening, which we missed due to my ill health.
The best laid plans of mice and men!

Thank you Helen (my eldest son Duane's partner) for allowing me to post this picture that she took of: My son Kevin, my daughter in law Paula and grandchildren Louie, Faith, and Chloe. Faith and Chloe were baptized last weekend.

So what is NF? Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a conditions in which tumors grow in the nervous system. The cause is a genetic mutation in certain genes. In 50% of cases the condition is inherited from a person's parent, affected individuals have a 10- to 15-year reduction in life expectancy compared to the average person. In NF1 the tumors are neurofibromas (tumors of the peripheral nerves), There is no known prevention or cure.
